Art is fun!

This week was a fun one.

In Kindergarten we finished our one point perspectives. They turned out absolutely adorable. We were going to do Matisse's Goldfish but I had a last minute change of heart. Instead we did Matisse's Purple Robe and Anemones. We studied the patterns and then we did a directed drawing ot the vase and table. The kids then were able to add their own patterns and designs, They also drew their own flowers. They all turned out so different and the were all beautiful. We will finish them this week with either oil pastels, crayons or colored pencils. I am going to let the kids choose. We even have the half day this week. So we are going to draw parrots and color them in with primary colors (they can mix them anyway the want on their paper. This is to compliment their rain forest lesson this week.

In first grade, we are still working on our apples. They are turning out really cute. It's been fun because we are using so many different mediums to finish the project.

In second grade, we started our Audobon project. I am hoping to simplify it a little so that we can get the best effect that we can . I will definitely be keeping you all posted on our progress.

In third grade, we are finishing our trees. They are looking really good and I think that the kids are really getting the concept of foreground, middle ground and back ground. We

Next week is our art walk!!! Please come and enjoy the art and grab some coffee and donuts or muffins. The art walk is the 14th and 16th from 7:15-8 am. We will have one piece of art for each of your students.
